Mont Blanc

Top of the mont blanc
The gem of the Alps

My dream came true.

  • 3 September 2017
  • 4810 m
  • French Alps

We start the climb at 2am, and at an altitude of 3100m, which means we still have a long way to go to the summit at 4810m. This means 1700m of climbing in harsh conditions; -25 ° c, wind gusts up to 50 km/h and persistent snow up to the knees sometimes. Only the guide and I decided to attempt a summit that day. It would be a long day.

I can barely get my legs forward. It’s horrible. On the flanks of Mont Blanc. Looking for salvation. The finish line, the summit, after a long fight with not only the mountain, but also with myself. The wind almost knocked me off the mountain several times. The cold stiffens my whole body. At 4500m I get a huge blow.

I'm exhausted. I drag myself up with all the willpower, which I didn’t know I had, upstairs and after 7 hours I suddenly find myself at the top of my dream mountain. I did it, UNBELIEVABLE..

Full of emotion a victory cry follows. With its 4810m is she the winner of the Alps and the roof Europe. I have lived towards this for 6 months.

With heart and soul.
